Additional support at no cost
In the event that our Community Services Lead cannot offer the answers or support you require, they are able to put you in touch with other services.
The following support services are only available to you through The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
If you need information in a language other than English or French, we can connect you with an Information Specialist who can facilitate explanations about your type of blood cancer and the treatment options, through an interpreter in 170 languages. An Information Specialist is available by phone, live chat or email.
The Clinical Trial Nurse Navigators are registered nurses with expertise in blood cancers who will work one-on-one to personally assist you throughout the entire clinical trial process. A Nurse Navigator will help you understand the clinical trial process, identify potential clinical trials options, guide you in your efforts to enroll in a clinical trial and be available for support throughout the clinical trial experience.
For assistance with your nutritional needs or challenges, a registered dietitian with expertise in oncology nutrition is available to inform you and do consultations by phone or email.
If you prefer talking to someone who has been through a similar blood cancer experience as you, we can match you with a peer volunteer through our First Connection peer support program or you can join one of our local support groups.
You can get information or support you’re after at your leisure from a vast array of resources we have specially curated and created with input from experts in the field of blood cancers. They include quick reads, videos, podcasts, and other resources that are easy to understand.
